I Posted My First LJ Entry One Year Ago Yesterday
This previous week and a half has been something else. Tuesday night of last week, my dad thought he was having a heart attack, so my parents and I went to the emergency room. He didn't have one but they put him in a regular room. The following day, he was transferred to a hospital in Memphis, Tennesse to have that test done to see if he had any blocked arteries. He had five--one was totally blocked and the others were 90% blocked.
So he had to have surgery Thursday morning. Luckily everything went fine. After the surgery was over, the doctor came into the waiting room and said how he honestly had no idea how my dad hasn't already had a major heart attack and died by now. And on the morning my dad had the surgery, my sister had her second kid (another daughter). Crazy week.
Yesterday (April 27th) was also a milestone for me.
As you all know, besides Diary Land, I use Livejournal and Xanga. Well, one year ago yesterday, I wrote my very first entry on Live Journal.
It's funny. When I first joined Live Journal, I actually hadn't planned on updating on it. I mean, the only reason I even joined the site was to read Resa's journal (being she only writes "friends only" entries and I had to join and let her add me as a friend to read it). But of course I ended up deciding to update on it.
You know what else is funny, in a "sad" sort of way?
I've been on Diary Land since August 5, 2001.
I've been on Live Journal since April 27, 2005.
And I probably have more entries on Live Journal than I do Diaryland. But, there WAS a little over a full year I went without updating on Diary Land. And I did delete a few entries.
Though I do use Diaryland and Live Journal still, I kind of consider my Xanga to be my main blogging site. Maybe because I have more of friends reading that. I don't know.
In other news, Dr. Campbell said yesterday I could have a little bit more time to work on my drug paper (it was due yesterday). I was going to run by her office this afternoon to give it to her, but when I looked at the course syllabus, I realized she isn't in her office on Fridays from 1-3. I hope she understands when I give it to her Monday.
